2018 Gender Spectrum Conference

Welcome to the 2018 Gender Spectrum Conference! Our opening session will set the stage for a weekend dedicated to examining gender in all of its diversity. We will begin our morning all together as a group, celebrating our community and the young people it serves. After kids move on to their individual programs, we will then expand upon this year's theme Claiming My Gender. This will include an examination of gender congruence. What does it look like for a child's gender identity, expression and body to be in harmony with one another? How do all of us seek to find congruence with our own personal gender and the world around us? What does it look like for youth to feel fully recognized for their unique experiences of gender? What role can parents and other loving adults play in helping them along the way?  We will also highlight some of the weekend’s activities and resources designed to maximize your time while at the conference.
