2018 Gender Spectrum Conference

As parents seek to understand the various needs of their gender diverse kids, medical issues represent one aspect that frequently brings great anxiety. For those raising children and teens who are binary, at least some of the medical options seem more clear. But what if your child is not identifying as a boy or a girl? What are the possible medical options and questions to ponder? This workshop will examine various types of medical care available for non-binary youth as they seek to find physical congruence. From both medical as well as psychological perspectives, this workshop will help caregivers sort out many of the areas they and their child need to be considering as they explore potential medical interventions.
